08 March 2010 - What are you looking at?

I love youEverytime I look at Sandra, I cant help but reflect and be thankful for how gracious God has been to us as a family, whilst we dont just look at the things that we have seen but also look forward to the things that are yet to come.

Which ever way we look at it, we cant help but see his goodness in every aspect of our lives and are thankful.

Its been a while since the last update but once again thanks to everyone for your continued, prayers, and messages of support.

The last month or so has presented a number of challenges with Sandra having a number of falls due to difficulty in her retaining her balance, this appears to be partially neurological and partially physiological and requires us to be particularly attentive at this time.

Overall we can see improvement in her general demeanour, recall and appetite and her communication skills also continue to improve so please keep praying.

Over the next couple of months there are a number of significant long term decisions we will have to make as a family and value your prayers for wisdom and continuing grace as we take the next steps.

We keep being encouraged by the many testimonies we hear of others who have also been mircaulously healed and continue to beleive that Sandra will be no exception, so we all rejoice by faith in what has already been done.

I close with the words taken from Hebrews 12:2 which reminds us to continue to 'look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.'

22 January 2010 - Home at last.

Well after 4 months and 10 days we are so pleased to let you know that 'D-Day' is finally here and Sandra has now finally been discharged from hospital and is now back at home.

I love youAll we can say as a family is really summed up in the words of the song 'How great is our God.' Had it now been for his love and grace our story would have been very different, so we would ask you all wherever you are to give thanks to God with us.

We have said it so many times before but thanks also to all the medical and professional staff who have been involved in the course of Sandra's recovery from day one, you have been instrumental in saving her life and we thank you.

To our family, friends, Church family, Pastors, prayer partners, work colleagues, employers, neighbours, well wishers, acquaintances we made along the way and all the people who stood with us in the hour of need and those who walked through the valley with us - we pray God's richest blessings on you all - The words 'Thank you' are inadequate in expressing our gratitude.

Many people have told us how they have been inspired and encouraged by Sandra's story and we pray that one thing you will take encouragement in is that 'no matter how dark your night or current challenges may seem, may you know that you always have hope in God.
As Sandra continues to recover from home over the next few months, We will continue to update you on her progress although the updates will be less frequent.

Please continue to enjoy the music on the website and may the songs and pages on this website inspire and encourage you on your own journey of faith.

If you have appreciated the great work done here by our good friend Andrew Parnell please drop him a line to encourage him, better still if you or someone you know want a great website to be built please contact him via clicking the link at the bottom of the website which says 'Website supported by Andson Creative' (Thanks and sorry Andrew - your the best).

With much love,

Kevin and Sandra Thomas and family.

16 January 2010 - Deferred

Due to increasing concerns in her lack of balance and a number of falls over the last couple of weeks Sandra had to be briefly readmitted for a further scan to investigate a potential further bleed as the cause.

Thankfully there had been no further occurrences following the previous scan and an adjustment in the dosages in some of the remedial medication is being trialled.

Over the last few days we have seen a considerably marked improvement in her ability to balance and the weakness which had been so prevalent on her left hand side is now diminishing - Thanks for your prayers.

She is also becoming much more cohesive in her engagement as well as showing a vast improvement in her general recall.

Her discharge will be transitioned over the next few weeks with her gradually spending more time at home on extended leave until her attendance at rehabilitation is phased out completely.

Please pray for continuing improvement in her balance and strength on her left hand side as well as continuing improvement in her cognitive skills - We declare that Sandra will recover all!
