Thanks to everyone who prayed last night during Sandra's operation she was in and out in less than two hours, I am glad to let you know that she had a peaceful and stable night. We have been greatly encouraged this morning though because although she still remains sedated, she made a very slight movement of her head while I was with her this morning and the nurse told me she actually moved her right hand while she was with her earlier today.
We praise God for these small signs of improvement and continue to pray for her total recovery. Over the next few days the medical staff will attempt to reduce the sedation and see how she responds.
What an awesome day this has been, first of all thanks to everyone for your messages of encouragement, but most of all for your prolific prayer support, we are already seeing the hand of God move through some of the most adverse circumstances.
We are glad to report that after a few administrative challenges, that Sandra successfully underwent the next stage of surgery this evening.
The aneurysm which caused the initial haemorrhage has now been secured and although there are some minor precautionary measures we have to observe, the operation was deemed a success.
The next stage of development will be to reduce the sedation and to recover her out of her coma over the next few days.
Thank God with us for the administrative and medical staff who were outstanding in their care of Sandra and in keeping us updated of her progress.
Thank God also for the improvement we have seen in some of the other patients whose families we have had the opportunity to share the reason for our hope and confidence.
(There is at least one lady who now wants her mum to come to Church as a result of seeing what God is doing in answer to prayer).
Thank God with us for the immense favour and support that both Sandra and myself have received from our employers and work colleagues and that God would bless them immensely.
Thank God with us for all the people who have determined to pray until we see Sandra's full recovery.
Sandra has remained stable today and the slight rise in temperature has now reduced to normal. Following the medical review and CT Angiogram an aneurism was identified as the cause of the bleed and an operation is scheduled for Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5PM.
Please pray for the operation to be a success, also pray for the mother of Carol Foster who is undergoing similar treatment and for the recovery of the other patients and their family members we met on the ward over the last couple of days.
Thank God for stability, all the medical staff who have been caring for Sandra and the other patients and all those who have fasted, prayed and stood in the gap on behalf of Sandra and the family.
